Wireless
A network where ther is no physical wired connection between sender and receiver. Wireless network use radio and/or microwaves to maintain communications. Like wire network, wireless use NIC, and routers, but they transmit data using radio waves; another equipment type use in wireless network is an access point.
Advantages of a wireless network:
- Mobility.
- Elimination of unsightly cables.
Disadvantage:
- Radio interference due to weather, other wirless devices, or obstruction like walls, carton, etc.
This technology is use both at home and business.
